Couldn’t stop smiling to myself when I saw you for the first time in 3 months, though not physically. Tried so hard to hide it but I just couldn’t. Felt like I was in total ease with not a single concern in the world, giving the same old usual ugly faces to you, only to find you smiling back at me. Showing me how the new haircut you got (which you think it looks ugly, but I think it looks great on you albeit short), and how Raymond would be in the background showing me all the chips and biscuit you two stocked in your room, updating each other on the littlest things in life and giving each other virtual kisses.

I miss you so much sweetheart, and thank you for making me the happiest girl alive tonight.

School of Chemical & Life Sciences Annual Dinner & Dance 2010

Yesterday was the last event of my journey in poly, and that refers to the Annual D&D (guess I can also call this a prom)! :D Didn’t regret going for it because it was so fun seeing everyone dress up and looking all so glamorous! :D

I invited the Jinglan, Peiyu, Ziwei and Yuli to my place to dress up and prepare for the dinner together. But apparently the earliest (Jinglan) was an hour late from the meeting time, so you can guess how late the rest were from there. Hahaha. But I guess it was fun! Some girly time dressing and putting on our make up together. :D

Mommy helped me with my make up a little and she lent me the falsies she bought which wasn’t used before, and I’ve gotta say that falsies has got to be the hardest thing to do for make up! :O Doesn’t feel that it really changes my look a lot though. All I really need is for my (real) lashes to be more curled! /:

Wore the blue dress I got from the Melbourne trip last year, and it’s the first time I am wearing it. What if I said that I bought this dress a year ago just for this event? I am actually quite serious about this, y’know? q:

My accessories – Diva earrings & Tiffany bracelet – are both gifts from Jon! See Baby, I carry you with me everywhere I go heehee. ;) The Diva earrings in particular was a gift from Jon about 3 years back when I was still in St. Margaret’s! It has been with me for so long already. From my very first prom to second (which is probably the last too) and it’s still serving me well. (: Pinned up my hair because I have no idea what else I could possibly. /:

We took a cab down to Conrad International, and then started camwhoring while waiting for the others to arrive! And… Matt got Pei Yu a stalk of sunflower, awwww so sweet and nice! (: Anyway, I was so glad that I didn’t died on my killer heels for the night! :D

The theme for the D&D was Casino, and though I thought it was a little lame…. but bring on the vices! The food served was really good, except that it came with stingy portions! /: I even ate the celery that was served even though I hated celeries. Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise that I’m eating my greens! (: Love the abalone soup with mushrooms (double yum)! And I was eating, I thought that afterall perhaps my favourite cuisine would still be chinese food. (:

And it makes me sad how I never ever won anything in any lucky draw before! ): And apparently the second prize enticed me more than the first. iPod Touch > XBOX360! Girls camwhored for really long in the toilet while the guys just sat outside and waited for us to be done. It was damn funny how bored their faces were when we were out.

Had a really awesome prom to end of my journey in poly, though it would have been a lot more fun with the presence of some others too.

But on a terribly sad note, I feel utterly disgusting looking at how fat I am in the pictures. ): I need to shed the fats seriously. Gotta stop thinking about it and work on it! My tummy seems to be very determined to be taking permanent residence ugh. I just wanna get rid of my tummy and have more toned legs and arms and I’ll be satisfied. Alright, that basically just sounded like I need an entire make over for myself. ): Oh… and my hair is damn screwed up. As dry as the desert.

Speaking of which, there are two non-work-related thing I wish to achieve when I start working: To cook my own packed lunch to work (not everyday though) and work out frequently. I really wish to be more discipline and bring out the domesticated self in me. Not forgetting that by cooking my own packed lunch I can save some money and opt for a healthier meal!

And of course, I’ll never forget this: Happy 47th month Mr Silly. Haven’t called you this in about 3 years ago, and it still brings back loads of memories. Really love the way you reminded me that today’s the 7th in the very first phone call we had in the late afternoon. The voice you had that sounded as though I forgotten about it entirely. Priceless.

We amaze me.

It was March’s 21st birthday yesterday, and the girls all met up to celebrate this very special day of hers! Her very doting boyfriend booked a room in Crowne Plaza Hotel (5* hotel, or so I heard) for all of us to just enjoy this day with her. Apparently he couldn’t join us because he has got classes to attend!

Met up with Jeanna at T3 after work, and we planned to keep March in the dark about the entire surprise for her. But apparently, she’s not a very good actress because March kinda knew what was going on even though she just played along. But she definitely didn’t know that the room was booked by Eugene, which was really sweet of him! (:

So when March and Rebekah arrived, we just sat at McCafe and just caught up a little with each other while the other group was up in the room preparing the entire place!

March was pleasantly surprised, and the room looked really beautiful! The open concept actually meant that you can actually see your partner shower with just a clear glass that separates the room from the bathtub! :O But the view from the room was beautiful, with the airport’s control tower and the hotel’s pool in sight! (: We played black jack, in between, had fastfood takeaways for dinner, and then a cake that was arranged by Eugene too! Bet March loved it since it was chocolate! (: I bet she must be feeling really happy that her boyfriend actually put in so much effort to make her 21st a memorable and pleasant one with her friends despite not being to join in the fun!

We made her wear her bikini and brought her down to the pool which was already closed. Were supposed to be just walking and looking around, but Josco did the right move by initiating to push her down into the pool just as planned! :D The girls then made her swim across the pool with the helium balloons tied to her hands. It was quite an entertaining and hilarious sight!

Went back to the room, and then we played Twister! :D It has been such a long time since I last played with that, and it was mad funny and tiring! As much as I wish that I was a soft spoken and a demure young lady, I am a far cry away from that. Being unglam, sadly,  is probably one of my forte I believe. ):

Instead of staying over, I had to go back home since I’ve gotta go for my employment signing the very next morning. Bet I missed out on a lot more fun that I already had before! I hope the girl had a blast on her 21st, which I really believe she did! :D I still love you heap loads babe, though we have been missing out a lot in each other’s lives. ):

Everyone’s 21st seems to be so amazing, fun and wonderful it’s making me feeling stressed! I don’t even know if I want to have a celebration any more because of all the trouble. Really wish to have a blast on my 21st birthday too, but honestly… I’m kinda lazy and all. I am so bleak. /: July’s will not arrive so soon anyway, so I can just take my own sweet time and decide on what I’d wanna do (or not)!

On a side note, it’s CLS Dinner & Dance tomorrow (later tonight rather), and I am actually getting very hyped up and excited already! The thought of the girls coming over to my place in the afternoon to dress and make up, then looking all so glamorous and gorgeous is making me really excited heehee! It’s gonna be some girly time in the afternoon, I like! :D Hope that D&D tomorrow would be fun! :D

Since school has been out, my life has been really exciting and fun! Loving life big time right now hee! :D Not forgetting that I’ll be heading to Bangkok next week with my friends, and this is gonna be so exciting! All before I officially enter the workforce! :D

I promise to make an attempt to keep my life exciting whenever I’ve a chance too, though working definitely means less fun. Will have to learn to strike a balance between excelling at work and having my fair share of fun. (:

I always thought that ever since Jon’s recent departure, I’ve learnt to deal with the distance and learnt how to suppress missing him. But tonight, I found that this weakness of mine is crawling back.

And tonight, I feel so alone in this darkness.

I’m missing this boy too much. It gets really crazy on my side when all I really want to be is by his side and nothing more. His voice over the phone, although it’s on a every day basis, doesn’t fills this emptiness in me. When I’m with him, the world’s such a wonderful place. It is Wonderful. Even the worst thing that can ever happen will be a lot easier with him around.

Does any one even realise how dead I am on the inside right now? Working every day away because it promises that July will arrive a lot faster. In a blink of an eye, it’s already March. 3 months has passed, 4 more to go. Thank you, to whoever kept me company throughout this whole period.

But, tonight’s very unbearable for me.

It was Stacey’s 21st Birthday Chalet on Sunday, and I rushed back home to get prepared the moment I got home from the Kukup trip! It was such a mad rush, and I had to find ways to dress up for her party’s theme where we had to dress like a cartoon character/actress/singer/anyone! And since my creativity juices failed me, the most appropriate outfit as suggested by Stacey was to act as Bella Swan. I thought it was quite a Fail in my case. ):

Though I looked like crap, and Stacey looked really awesome and cute with her pseudo-mouse ears, I hope that my dearest enjoyed her birthday bash to the fullest! :D Sorry that I couldn’t stay over my dear although I really wanted to. ): But I guess it’s okay, because we’ll have stay over sessions soon yes?! We need to start working on our plan really soon! :D

Anyway, I went for my very first official job interview today with Ziwei and it went really smoothly. The job offered me a 5 day/week (when I was expected at least a 5.5day/week considering it’s in the retail line) and the pay was more than what I have quoted! How awesome is that?! :D Will be heading down on Friday morning to sign the contract with Ziwei, and would probably start work proper in April. (: Looking forward to be financially independent, and to pamper my loved ones too. (: I guess one good thing about being an Optometrist is that you’re always in demand, at least for now! ;D Let’s just hope that I’ll be posted to a good outlet with awesome colleagues who will guide me along the way.

Really proud of myself that I am taking a step out of my comfort zone and go through all the hardship. I am young and I want to explore what’s out there. I hope I’ll love my job. (:

On a side note, I am really missing the Boyfriend terribly. Really bad in fact I feel like crying soon. I really need to be with him right now to ease all this crazy emotions I am going through. I honestly, seriously, feels that no one understands what I am going through.

27th & 28th Feb 2010: Post-grad weekend getaway to Kukup with DOPT peeps
This weekend has been nothing short of fun and a whole new load of experience! :D

The weekend was spent with almost 20 of my fellow DOPT mates on a short post-grad getaway trip to Kukup together! I had so much fun and was so glad that I decided to give myself the green light for this trip despite wanting to save money. It’s very worth it. :D I’d also like to add that this is the first trip I went without my family and Jon, and that it isn’t a school trip too! Would say that there would be many more trips with my friends to come! ;D

Saturday morning saw me waking up early, heading to Hougang where the mini bus that we hired would pick Pei Yu, Yan Shan and I up from. Drove off to the subsequent different destinations to pick the other people up, and we were off to Malaysia! :D Just so you know, there were two mini bus that were hired, and apparently our group got lost at the Malaysia customs and couldn’t find the bus! It was mad hilarious because we walked all the way to the bridge leading to City Square instead to where the mini bus were parked! While everyone was taking their nap, Ziwei and I talked throughout the hour long drive to Kukup. (:

I only realised that I have been to Kukup many times before with my family, not knowing what the place’s called. -.-” Not a very clean town, but isn’t that the fun of it? We settled at a restaurant for lunch, and had seafood! Though I’d say that the seafood taste only mediocre when I expected a little more than that. /:

Despite all the prior expectations I have, I would say that I can still live with the conditions I am given and that I am quite adaptable!

Welcome to Kukup!

Settled down at our chalet unit after meal, and it was in a part of Kukup which I have never got to explore before! (: It was basically our own free time to mingle around for the rest of the day thereafter, so some of us played mahjong and cards, while the others sang karaoke or napped.

This is the vicinity of where we stayed in when it’s low tide. So… all our waste products will be disposed directly into the water, and you also find fishes and mudskippers in it too.

Dinner was prepared by the people who dealt with our chalet unit (I heard that they own the house, just that they rent it out) and our meals! They helped us BBQ our food, and it was all prepared for us. Felt like some kind of royalty without having you to clean up any thing or even to prepare your own BBQ pit to have a BBQ dinner! How awesome is that? :D BBQ stingray, sotong, otah, fishballs, vegetables, corn, chicken wing, sausages.. A very satisfying dinner indeed!

After dinner, we played with fireworks! Not fire sparklers, but fireworks that you see during National Day Parade and such! :D It was my virgin attempt at it, and it wasn’t as scary/dangerous as I thought it’d be! In fact, it was a hell lot of fun, excluding how some of the fireworks can be really loud! And by the way, we used joss sticks to light up the fireworks and not lighters/matchsticks! I bet if I were to do this alone, I’d use the latter and may even cause some accident. /:

Fire crackers!
Although the bamboo stick used to hold the fire crackers were damn long, there were still things that flew from the crackers and hit the leg repeatedly of whoever’s holding on to the stick. Also, the fire crackers are mad loud I hate it! Can cause major deafening effect I swear! /:

It’s pretty fun playing with this, especially when the rocket flies sky high into the sky and burst into pretty fireworks! :D But it is sure loud the moment it’s gonna blast off!

This wasn’t done by us, but some random group of people (who seems like a whole bunch of relatives gathering together) that was playing with the fireworks near the open area we were playing on. It was heard that they spend $20k every year just on fireworks during CNY! :O But you gotta agree that this set of fireworks is really beautiful, isn’t it?! :D

After all the fireworks (which was about 12am already!), we walked back to our unit and had yu sheng! :D It was quite a messy event when everyone just threw the food as high as possible to symbolise good luck! And apparently the yu sheng actually taste quite good! I was called disgusting because I used my hands and ate the mango in the yu sheng which Yiliang and Jinglan (or was it Janice) were fighting over directly instead of using the chopsticks. I mean, after all the throwing and tossing, our hands were already covered with yu sheng right? /: Then again, I would only behave like that with people I feel comfortable with, heh heh.

We also celebrated Janice & Sean’s (not gonna call him Mr Lee anymore since we’ve already graduated) birthday, though they already had their respective celebrations prior to this trip already! A good way to sum up the entire month too! (:

After which, we played with more fireworks! :D

Showered, and did whatever we wanted for the rest of the night. Unlike the others who can survive without sleep, I had to hit the sack at about 4am or so. /: Anyway, Jia Sheng’s damn weak! Some of the guys were playing Black Jack, but instead of using money, they used Beer. His face turned mad red after on can of beer, and then he concussed. -.-”

Sunday – Woke up around 10 plus and I was still feeling tired. I bet everyone were feeling the same as well. Some of the girls got a little bored with just staying in our unit the entire time, so we went out to walk around a little. But we returned back in less than 5 minutes because the sun is just crazy. /:

I went to the living room only to see that everyone’s just knocked out! O.O

We went out to the sea and visited a mini fish farm! Quite an experience, even though the entire place had a really fishy smell. (:

When we got back to ashore, we bought loads of goodies from a provision shop! Bought some junkies back for my family & Jon’s too! Nom nom nom! :D Settled at one of the restaurants along the road for lunch, and it’s one of the restaurants that my family dine in whenever we visit Kukup too! Ordered my usual coconut pudding which is really smooth! :D In addition, the food that was served tasted better than the restaurant we dined in the day before!

The entire trip cost about less than $150 only! Considering that we got people to serve us our food (e.g. BBQ, and seafood too!) and the huge fun we got from playing the fireworks, it was definitely worth it! :D

But it’s only when we were playing with the fireworks, I really missed Jon as hell. Looking at how happy Jeff & his girlfriend, Yiliang and Hweeying was together, taking really awesome and nice photos with the fireworks. Gotta admit that I was really envious of them, and it made me missed Jon a hell lot. ): Wished he was there with me to enjoy such amazing and exciting moments together. It’s true that sometimes, all I wish for is just to be together with him, even though we still function perfectly well independently. There’s nothing more that I want than to be beside Jon. ):

Alright, it took me a lot of time to finish this entry! /: Still have got Stacey’s 21st birthday party to blog about too, but in the next entry! Meanwhile, I’m gonna crash now since I gotta wake up early and go for dental & a job interview thereafter, followed by work. It’s gonna be a really long day tomorrow! Wish me luck! :D

It was Amanda’s birthday yesterday, and her celebration was over brunch at Spruce. Met up with her friends -Vneo, Emeline and YJ – at City Hall to get some Helium balloons, but by the time I reached they were already done with shopping for the decorative items! Not that I was late, but they were early, and I promise I am not lying!

Took a cab down to Spruce, stuffing all the helium balloons in the boot of the car. We were quite afraid that the balloons will fly away the moment we opened the boot! I’ve always wanted to dine at Spruce because of it’s beautiful ambience, and I was glad I did on this girl’s very special day. (: We tied the balloons to every chair, just the way Amanda wished for on her 21st.

Would definitely love to bring the boy there one day just to spend our lazy afternoon away.

When Amanda arrived, she looked really happy! We played some introductory games with her friends, since we don’t know everyone that was there, and it was fun. (: I forgot what’s the name of the game though. Amanda’s friends were damn hilarious I kept laughing. Was glad that Randy was there too, because he’s one other mutual friend I knew since Jon & I got together. And it has been such a long time since I last saw him too! It was nice to know that he’s doing well and will be finishing his national service soon!

Randy called me to help him out with preparing the cake for Amanda while she went to the toilet! Some of her friends got some sparkling candles, and it was mad difficult to light them up! Not forgetting how quickly they turn into ashes and the first layer of cream had to be removed before consumption. Randy’s very good at that though!

Since Amanda told me she’d love to receive a big card and that money would cheapen everything, I made her a card with a mini notice board! I am glad that Amanda liked the gift I made for her, though it was really simple. Took some pictures of it while I was working on it, but not the final product. Reason? Laziness!

Alright, I should go pack my luggage for the trip to Kukup in Malaysia with my DOPT mates tomorrow! Will only be back on Sunday, which will also be Stacey’s 21st birthday chalet. What a tight schedule I have upon graduation, I like! :D

Speaking of which, I really have no idea what I should dress up as when the theme of her party is Drama. Now who am I supposed to dress up to mimic as?! Actress, actor, cartoon character, just something! Please give me some suggestions, or I’d have to have a pair of stocks stuffed over my head as a form of punishment as stated by Stacey Li. ):

Just check out how high Jinn Yang can jump! And the way he stretches his hands out and the expression I have no my face makes it seem like I got bashed! It’s just so hilarious! :D This is the kind of thing I’ll miss about being a student. ):

Headed to school in the morning for the final (5%) test, and I gotta say that I was quite lucky to get some of the answers right considering the fact that I don’t think I wasn’t very prepared! :D But anyway, that was the last thing about school we gotta worry for, and it’s officially over! Holidays are here to say Hello, until the results that will determine if I officially graduated from school! Let’s all just pray for the best! (:

After the career talk by a few optical companies, it was lunch buffet at the optometry centre! :D Imagine how happy we were eating in SPOC when we were not allowed to do so at all for the entire year. Naturally there was a photo-taking frenzy going around as well. If not now, then when? (: But it was damn annoying, because people who took pictures with me kept asking if I wanted them to bend down for me. I don’t think I’m really that short right? ): (Or maybe that’s the reason why I’d loving hanging around with Esther and Yuli too? Heh, just kidding babes!)

The people whom went through countless of projects with me, and I’m lucky because we don’t experience disputes from having free riders. (:

After all the food and photo-taking, we walked all the way to the sports hall for a game across the entire level. It’s very much like a sports day, just that you don’t have them in poly. The 5 classes played against each other, and that was a prize for the winning team! Was feeling very lethargic initially before the game started, but got a little warmed up and the tiresome feeling went away. (:

I hope I’ll still attempt to sweat it out more often when I get a full-time job.

I gotta say that the past 3 years wasn’t easy to get through; all the endless amount of stress we have to deal with, the times when I feel like giving up. But when I think back, I think I have met really amazing and fun people in school. And I’d want to give special thanks to these people for making a difference in the 3 years. You guys have been really amazing, and I love you guys. Though we’d working in different practices/different industry in the future, I really do hope that we’ll all get a chance to work together, directly or not. (:

I was chosen to be doing the beginning of the presentation, and it being the first time official talking through a mike, I was feeling really nervous. I am not too sure how I sounded to the crowd, but for sure I knew that I was experiencing the micro tremors going through me! ): I don’t think I performed well sadly, though I thought that the guys did really well. I really wished that I was a lot more confident, a lot more capable than what I am.

Sigh. But at least everything’s over. All I wish for now is to get through my last semester and nothing more. I don’t even dare to ask for anything more. ):

Left work earlier today and met up with Stacey honey for a study session at Orchard Central’s Burger King. Got myself a Mushroom Swiss set because I was famished, and it’s my first BK meal in the longest time possible! Passed Stacey the gifts that I got her since a long time ago, but kept forgetting to bring whenever we meet with this terrible memory of mine. /: And being the real muddle-headed me, I forgot to take out the price tag for one of the items. -.-” Glad that she liked the earrings though! (:

She bought me a box of mask for whitening from her recent trip back to Hong Kong! :D I hope that the mask will be as effective and smells as good as MBD’s! :D Also, she passed me the keychain that  Hilary’s sister made for me when I was in Hong Kong last December with Jon! It’s so gorgeous I love it so much! :D It wasn’t cheap though!

Tell me it’s drop dead gorgeous! :D And it has a K at the back of it because it’s my initial! :D Love the reflection of the Swarovski crystals too! It’s so much prettier in real. :D

Stacey told me it’s gonna be quite a waste if I hung my keys instead. But if I don’t hang my keys, I have no idea what/where I should hang it.

My stomach’s growling already, and I think I am gonna try finding some food in the kitchen to fill this ever-hungry stomach of mine. Should attempt to read my notes for the 5% test tomorrow, and holidays have officially arrived for me.

Now it’s only left with FYP Presentation (which is on Monday) and Clinical Test. One more week of school before I set free! And hey, I’ve already got the whole of the next week packed with activities right after freedom arrives! :D

It’s weird. This CNY, I’ve been only having 1 meal a day with hardly any CNY goodies popping into my mouth. Well, almost for the whole of CNY. Jon said I’m crazy because CNY has the most goodies, which is true! Whatever happened to my appetite? /: Perhaps it’s a good chance to work towards size 2 (hahaha)!

On Wednesday, Jeremy invited me over to their house to join in the gambling fun along with his fellow classmates (who are my year one juniors, but I only know one or two). /: I have never seen so many shoes outside The Chau’s residence before. :O Only joined his friends to play at a later time because I become quite an introvert when it comes to meeting a big crowd that I don’t know. /:

Thursday was a long day at school, finalising on the business report and getting it ready for submission. Was late for the meeting because I only had 4 hours of sleep the day before. Insomnia sucks so bad. ): Submitted the report, and then it was working on FYP slides. It was such a long day!

When I went to the station planning to head back home, I met the bunch of DOPT peeps who were on their way to Bugis for the steamboat session which I turned down. But in the end, I went with them instead because I got dragged down. Didn’t really regret it, though I was dead tired. But there’s this huge problem with me when it comes to having steamboat, because I only have the usual few; mushrooms (heap loads of them, really!), vegetables, and fishballs just to name a few. Sometimes that meat-eater in me is so tamed it doesn’t even function at all.

Then there was this surprise birthday celebration for Mr Lee as well! He seemed a little surprised with the birthday celebration as well. Zi Wei and I smeared some cream into his face, and thankfully his revenge failed! Wouldn’t want to have cream all over my face!

There was supposed to be this yu sheng session, but because there isn’t any around they used an overload of tang hoon (that was soaked in the soup) as a substitute! Oh gosh, it was so retarded but fun! Things you do as a student, priceless. (:

So the CNY vibes are almost over. It’s back to school, and I just gotta hang in there a little while more. Mad schedule up with me right now, and freedom smells so near yet so far! The thought of graduating (though unofficially) makes me really hyped up! But when it comes to making post-graduation plans, I don’t quite like it. ):

On a side note, I’m looking forward to receiving my Valentine’s Day present from my dearest when his Dad and both his brothers visits him in Melbourne this March! How lucky is this boy? He has got visitors every year! Though I think his gift is going to be some silly one (because he sounded like it was over the phone), I’m looking forward to receiving it.

Meanwhile, I gotta start cracking my head on Stacey & Amanda’s birthday gifts, and of course making an anniversary gift for Jon so that his brothers can help me bring it over for him (though it’ll make it a super advance gift). What should I get for him? I hate cracking my brains for getting gifts because of the lack of creativity in me. ): Would love to do something handmade and personalised though! But people, please give me some suggestions! No clothes, because I’ve already got him plenty of clothes. I hate cracking my brains on what gifts to get, especially when it comes to guys.

Took a train down to The Chau’s because I was invited over for dinner since Jolene was coming over for dinner. (:

Why do I look like I am singing to myself while cutting the salmon?!

Jerwin and I brought Jolene down for a walk after dinner, and it turned out that the both of us ended having a heart to heart talk about relationships. I was surprised too because he was the one who started the topic about this. He asked how Jon and I can manage our relationship despite being away from each other, and was sharing me some of the woes he experiencing in his relationship. He actually thinks that bickering (for the fun of it) is actually cute, haha. He notices that Jon & I always do that, and we even fights behind them while Jeremy and him were on the computer playing their games.

And Jolene was damn cute. She just listened and joined in the conversation every little while as though she understood everything! Hahaha, that girl. Considering her age, I’d think that she’s a very obedient and mature 11-year old.

When we went back to his place, Jerwin showed me the card and bracelet he bought for his girlfriend for V’day. Oh, and also the photo album (about 100 photos) of his girlfriend and him! So cute! Teenage love.

After Jolene left, we drove to Marina to walk around Chun Dao He Pan to just walk around. Something that I haven’t done in a long time, but it was done because they just wanted to walk around instead of just staying at home.  And we saw Lee Kuan Yew with his whole bunch of bodyguards too!

Tuesday – Woke up early to get myself ready and headed off to school for project meeting. And yes you got it right – FYP project meeting on the third day of CNY. ): Matt felt that he wore the wrong shirt (SP shirt) because he felt like he was a big time loser heading to school. Work till about 2pm, and we went to Botak Jones for dinner since all the food courts in school were closed. Lunch was exceptionally filling I was going to burst. ):

Headed down to town and met up with The Chaus. Had dinner at an Indonesian eatery at Lucky Plaza, but I hardly ate anything since I was already bursting from the meal earlier. The food looked really good, but my appetite was shut off. And as usual, Uncle and Aunty always asked me to eat some and I did only for a few mouthful because I really can’t stuff myself any further.

Each one of us got ourselves one cup of chendol drink each. I thought it was so sweet I couldn’t even finish a cup! Had to get loads of ice water to make dilute the sugar rush. /:

Did some window shopping thereafter, and Uncle wanted to check out some belts at Prada. It was damn funny considering that Jerwin was wearing bermudas and slippers. But honestly, no one is bothered by that at all. Left the shop empty handed because the buckles weren’t nice at all. Or so I felt. His current Hermes belt is way nicer! Of course it has to be nicer considering the price he paid it for.

Drove off to Serene Centre for some ice-cream at Island Creamery for desserts. The Chaus love their Pulau Hitam ice-cream big time! Only had a few mouthful of ice-cream though they are my favourite desserts. CNY is just a sinful festive season. ):

I have officially lost track of time. I don’t even know if it’s Monday or Tuesday, or what the next day is. /: Doesn’t help bring me back to reality when I don’t have classes any more, but just project meetings. This is so screwed. ):

Lunar New Year is definitely one of my favourite favourite festive season along with Christmas! (:

The first day of CNY has been rather good! My family only left the house for visiting in the late afternoon, and the first stop was my to my god-grandma’s (Daddy’s godma) house! To be honest, we only visit them once a year we aren’t really that close. Apparently I do not feel weird being there, but maybe it’s because I was just busy indulging in the widespread of food. /:

Looking at my colourful eye shadow makes me very happy. Love the freedom to mix and match from this palette! <3 Very lasting colours, and it has served me well for the past year! (:

My Dad sent me to the nearest station, and I headed to The Chau’s Residence. I had quite a lot of fun playing Black Jack, which is almost a CNY tradition! :D But apparently I lost $9, so sad! ): When it comes to gambling, there never seems to be much luck with me, be it Black Jack or Mahjong. No such thing as beginner’s luck for me. Jon and I definitely shouldn’t be on a gambling site because it’s the same for the both of us. ):

Note the oranges in the picture? Jerwin believes that it’ll change his luck so he got FOUR of them and placed it in front of him. Hahaha, so kiasu!

Grandma’s place was next, and it was so nice seeing all my relatives all over again. Without a doubt, almost all of them asked where Jon was and I had to repeat the same thing to them every time. But whenever I talk about him, I can feel the smug and pride in me because we are still going very strong together despite being in a long distance relationship! (Y) And since some of my cousins have already gotten married and has kids, my Aunt asked when will it be my turn. I’m not even 21 yet goodness. -.-”

And Honey was being such a sweetie. He called me when I was at my Granny’s and he wished her and my parents Happy Lunar New Year over the phone. My Grandma was so happy she was smiling all the time when she received a short phone call all the way from Australia! :D

My cute little cousin, who seems to be recovering well from the traumatic incident last year. (: Jon talked to her on the phone as well, but she was too shy!

Amanda told me that Jon asked her to catch Valentine’s Day with me because I wanted to, and will pay for both of our tickets as a Valentine’s Day gift for me! *Awwwwwww* Seriously, this boy melts me with his little acts that may mean nothing to the world but everything to me. Thanks Baby, I really appreciate your effort and thought! (:

Ohhhh, and it makes me grin to myself on the inside when my relatives said that my face has became sharper! :D

Played Black Jack with my Dad and brothers again when we were back home, and I won $8 from being the banker! :D It was quite funny how my youngest brother lost quite a tad initially and said that he didn’t want to play any more. Then he came back and joined us again in less than 5 minutes omg. Hilarious!

On a side note, I loved the way I did my eye make up today even though they are probably not obvious in photos for some reason. A combination of pink and grey/black! :D Truth to be told, I love the double-eyelids-effect whenever I put on my eye make up when I only have single eyelids!

There’s no V’day vibes that was going through me, which is good! CNY > V’day any time! And now, what should I wear tomorrow? Didn’t really go for any CNY shopping, so I guess it’ll depend on my mix and match skills.

I am actually at Victoria Secret’s website looking at their products right now, but it’s ridiculous because I am actually looking at winter clothes to be exact. I just love dressing up for the winter but Singapore doesn’t even experience winter or at least a weather that’s cold enough for you to wear thicker clothes! Seems like I am going to add more things to my wishlist right now. /:

Friday was Competency test, and it was bleak as hell for me. Sigh. ): I really thought I was pretty prepared for the test, but nervousness got the better of me. Pardon some of the optometric terms, but:

1. Pupils station was a major killer for me, which was also my first station. Miss Anna Yeo was so stern she made me feel like everything I did was wrong. You know how your confidence will plunge for the rest of it, especially when it’s the first station and you have 11 more to go.
2. K-meter screwed up on me, and it just won’t turn on! Changed to another room, and the same thing happened, until I went to the 3rd available room.
3. Insertion and removal of contact lenses was the easiest station, or so I thought because I’ve always been pretty fluent in it. But no, I was given Focus monthly lenses and yes, it took me 3 times to take out the lenses. Can you believe it?! I was much more smoother in inserting and removal hard lenses as compared to soft lenses?
4. For a moment I couldn’t even calculate what was 7/4, and it took me more than 5 minutes to calculate it. Sounds like a real loser, but I was totally brain jammed! ):

All in all, test was just bad. Sigh. I wished I had all the luck in the world and make it through the test. I really thought I could do way better.

Met up with my FYP mates for a short meeting and then met up with Amanda who waited for me at SP’s library. (: Headed to Bugis together, and we had dinner at one of the coffee shop! :D Amanda wanted to bring me to this dessert house which served very good desserts (and herbal jelly too), but it was closed. The expression on Amanda’s face was priceless when she Went to Starbucks to just catch up a little with each other, and I curb my temptation from getting a cup of drink because I’ve really spent too much this month (not on clothes apparently). ):

I have no idea why, but Amanda found it really amusing when I was trying to pour a cup of ice water into her bottle. And knowing what a klutz I was, of course I spilled water and some of the ice-cubes all over!

Walked around for a while and we headed to Muji! Quite a bit of crazy fun looking at all the overpriced yet pretty items over there! Amanda, looking at the winter hats we wore makes me want to get one for myself so bad! It’s so pretty! Makes me want to dress up for winter again, my favourite season! I love cold weather big time! <3

A very short meet up with this girl, and I wished I had forever more to spend. Looking at the pictures we took together makes me happy! :D And I really appreciate the fact that this girl called me earlier in the evening asking where I was so she can pass me some flowers! Awwwwww, so sweet! :D Doesn’t matter if I don’t get any in the end, because it’s the thought that counts! Really appreciate it babe! <3

Had to drag myself out of bed today for clinic, and I really abhor it! Clinic was such a dread because it’s CNY eve. ): But on a more positive side, at least I managed to hit my quota already! :D I was the last to leave the clinic because I had to teach my patient how to wear her lenses, so I had lunch on my own at Clementi. $1.80 chicken rice ftw! :D Cheap lunch makes me happy! :D

When I reached home, I helped my Mom washed the fans and then hit the sack because I was so tired. Wanted to sleep for an hour only, but ended up waking up 2-3 hours later, what a pig! /: The moment I managed to drag myself out of bed, I started packing my room immediately and it wasn’t easy! The weather was so warm that I was perspiring while packing! The water I used to clean my shelves turned black, but I feel really happy now because everything’s so clean and tidy now! A far cry from the picture below! :D

Now that I moved my mini bookshelf from the table to the book shelf, my study table is so much more spacious right now! Still looking forward to the day when I get to reshuffle my furniture then I’ll carry out more major changes! (: The only thing I’ve yet to pack today is my wardrobe! Feeling too tired by the end of the day. ):

Had reunion dinner at home and it was a really simple affair. Despite having a few simple dishes at home, it felt really nice because I haven’t had home cooked food with everyone dining together. (: Mommy prepared oatmeal prawns and pork ribs which tasted so good! Not forgetting my favourite home cooked soup too! :D

Something made me really upset today, but whatever I’m not going to broad over it and dampen my festive mood. I’m going to ask my youngest brother to play Black Jack with me later, and hopefully my Dad will join in too! :D

Chinese New Year feels so weird without Jon this year. ): I miss his presence at his place with all his relatives around, and then driving over to my Granny’s place with me to join my family for some visiting. A huge part of me is missing this CNY. Baby, I miss you so much. ):

On a side note, I’m so glad that Baby was so happy to receive my really simple V’day present for him – a pair of Sonic Gear Earphones, the same one that I got for myself! How I wish that I was there to witness his childlike happiness when he got the present! :D Could totally hear his happiness when he got it over the phone! (:

Have a great Lunar New Year everyone, and I hope I will too! :D

Not like I’ll be having visitors this CNY, I just want feel like doing something different to mark the start of the (lunar) new year! Or maybe I just want a make over for my room!

Sounds really ridiculous, but sometimes I really wish to have house of my own not because I want to be away from my family, but to just do up my very own daily escapade. Home is where my heart is. (:

On a very random note, Valentine’s Day is coming and I’m envious of my friends who are actually making plans to celebrate this day with their other half, even if it just means sitting in front of the television at home with t-shirt and shorts.

One of the biggest wish of mine is to bake something so awesome for you on a special day. So beautiful you don’t even have the heart to eat it. And I’ll make you breakfast every single day.
