Making new friends and experiencing something different. (:

Met up with Amanda for lunch today before heading down to Bonito Chico’s 4th birthday bash. Her friend, Jeslyn, asked if we wanted to join her and friends. That girl was late, but thank god Baby called me so I was talking to him while waiting for the girl to arrive. (:

We were supposed to visit Nectarie, but it was a dessert place and I need to have my proper meal for lunch so we just settled at Pasta de Waraku at The Central. My share of pasta was good and I loved it! :D Made new friends – Jeslyn & Melissa – who joined us later. (:

Headed down to Bonito Chico’s 4th Birthday Bash thereafter, and the queue was quite crazy! The bash was supposed to start at 3pm, but we arrived at about 2pm because the friends wanted to be the first 1000 people to arrive so that we all can get a free goodie bag. But the moment we reached, the queue was already rather long! Heard that people started queueing at about 11am which is too crazy.

We aren’t die-hard fans of Bonito Chico. Just wanted to try and experience something a little different, and it’s probably going to be the first and last time. And just a very random note, a lot of the girls that went actually wore blogshop clothes and we kinda concluded that their lives are quite sad. Imagine people know exactly where you bought your clothes from (Jeslyn can name them all omg!), and that people probably have them too. /:

Through the day – though I was enjoying myself the entire time – I was thinking of my boy (in the midst of oogling at another guy heeheehee) and I missed him. ): I promise myself that I am going to spend quality time at home & at The Chau’s on my off days next week. Need to have some quality me-time and play with J the cute pup! <3

Haven’t updated in quite a while since I wanted to make full use of the short time that Jon & I have for each other before he departs for USA. There were quite a handful of activities so I’m gonna try my best to recall and write them down in chronological order!

Wednesday – Jon stayed over at my place and we spent a lazy morning together since it was my off day. Made plans for lunch at Wild Honey since weeks back, and I was kinda mad with Jon the day before when he met me because he wore slippers. He totally forgot about our lunch date. Felt so annoyed at him the night before, but somehow it simmered a short while after. Figured that I shouldn’t be screwing up our plans, so I decided to wear slippers with him so he wouldn’t look underdressed.

Anyway, my second visit to Wild Honey was as good as the first, and I’m glad that Jon enjoyed his meal too! :D I ordered Scandinavian while Jon had Mexican. I loved my share, and everything just went well with each other! It was shopping at Far East Plaza thereafter! (:

Oh yes, slippers for the day just to match my forgetful boy.

Thursday – When Jon stayed over at my place, he grabbed one of my shirts to wear because he was afraid of catching a cold. Who would know that he actually grabbed my St. Marg’s PE shirt! :O But gosh it was quite a hilarious sight I just had to take a picture of it!

(By the way, the reason why he took this shirt was because it’s probably one of the biggest shirt I have in my cupboard)

Friday – Was supposed to work but I got a MC because I wasn’t feeling well, but wasn’t that unwell to be unable to function. Truth to be told, I wanted to spend a little more time with Jon as well since it was the last weekend with have together. Don’t you dare judge me because I was really sick and Jon had to force me to take medications. Give me credits for me being honest instead!

So while I went to visit the doctor, Jon went to run some errands for his family. This guy is really so selfless and is so willing to go through all the trouble just to convenient his family members. I salute and give him all the respect when it comes to this, and I’ve never seen anyone else like this ever. Wish I could be like this too.

Headed to his place and waited for him to be back from all the errands that he have to do, then off we drove to have facial together at Clementi. Went back to his place and we gave dinner a miss because we were going to have late night xiaolongbao buffet at Crystal Jade with his brothers & secondary school friends! Though I love to eat, I can’t eat a lot at one go despite feeling hungry all the time! Each of us had one basket (is that what you call it?) xiao long bao each, and the guys kept asking for more. Jeremy had 6 baskets of it just for himself! D: I died at my second basket. /: I didn’t fancy the taste of the soup because the guys threw in too much lamb and I don’t like the smell of lamb at all. ):

Saturday – I had a lazy morning at Jon’s place while he was out to play football with his brother & friends. The entire day was just spent at his place packing his luggage, playing with J, eating home-cooked food, spending some quiet and slow time together with each other’s company.

Jerwin has this method of trying to discipline J where he is not allowed to have his meal when it’s placed in front of him until 5 minutes has passed. Sounds like a real torture but J’s really disciplined in doing so. Even when I’m not sitting down beside him to make sure that he doesn’t touch his meal, he will not eat until he’s given the green light to!

I made a reservation at 2am: Dessert Bar later that night, but it turned out to be quite a disappointment in both of our opinion. Jon ordered a Tiramisu while I had Purple. Mine tasted nicer (in my opinion) even though the Tiramisu was the more popular choice. All in all, we paid $30 for two desserts, which didn’t even satisfy us. ):

Jon insisted that I must blog about our experience at 2am because it was disappointing. The moment we finished our desserts, Jon turned and asked “We’re not going to come back here, right?”, and I couldn’t help but to nod my head. Desserts tasted fair (mine was quite interesting though) with a pathetic serving that’s extremely overpriced.

And because I didn’t have my desserts craving satisfied, I bought a tub of Haagen-Dazs ice-cream and we ate it in the car. Tried the new Caramel Biscuit & Cream flavour and it was awesome! So much better than 2am! Half the price, and in a big volume!

When we got back to his place lay on bed, talked about the most random things, and then fell asleep while hugging each other tightly. I wished this moment would really last forever.

Sunday – Woke up real early to pack up, and then off we headed to the airport. Surprisingly I didn’t feel sad at all about him leaving this time round. I guess it’s because we’ve grown to understand the fact that this is not that difficult when our bond for each other’s so strong, the fact that we’re doing this for the future we want together.

I told myself that four months isn’t really that long, and we can get through it without much problems even though there’s a timezone problem right now. The next thing I know will be the fact that I’ll be on the plane with his family, making our way to Los Angeles to reunite with him. Every reason why I’m going to slog and work my life away for the next four months for this trip.

Went back to The Chau’s residence after Jon departed, and I went with them for J’s training. I really love J a lot I can kiss and hug him all day long! I never knew that I’d ever love a German Shepherd this much. And it’s so amazing to see how much bigger he has grown over the past two months!

I feel really bad for disappearing from home for the past three days, and I’m really glad that my family understands without making a fuss about it.

I hope my boy will reach the states safe and sound, and through his entire stay there. I shall hit the sack now, and wait for his call at 2am in the morning. Now we’ll have to find a way to contact each other with a time difference of 14 hours. ):

The first ever surprise party I’ve planned – since a month ago – and I am very very glad that it turned out as good as I wanted it to be.

The sight of your surprised face still lingers in my mind, and it makes me smile.

On Saturday, I woke up early and prepared for my boy’s big day – his 21st birthday! :D Met up with Amanda to pass her the alcohol that I bought for the party the day before, and off I headed down to his place. It was nice to wish my boy Happy Birthday with his just-woke-up-sleepy-face-and-messy-hair. (: Took out my polaroid camera and started taking pictures of his family members to add into the book I made for his 21st birthday – a collection of all the birthday wishes for his 21st! :D

We drove off to Werner’s Oven at Siglap, as recommended by Baby. We ordered quite a feast, but to be honest I think I don’t really know how to appreciate meat like oxtail and lamb. I’m more of a white meat person, and I guess that probably means fish and chicken. I’m sucha bore, but I don’t really fancy beef, lamb or ox. /: I loved the Pork Knuckles though! :D And I ate all of the sauerkraut! :D And because I’m a carbo person, I wiped out all the potato. D: Ohhh, and I love the breaded cheese and desserts too! <3

After lunch, his Dad drove us all to Marina Bay Sands Hotel because I booked a room to celebrate Jon’s 21st. Apparently, I booked the room for “just the both of us” and I only told him the day before when we were in Bintan. It kinda fulfilled his wish (without me knowing) because he jokingly told Raymond & Co. that he wants to book a room at MBS and swim in the Sky Park when they were here. Now, he can flaunt to them about his experience! And another small wish of his was also to bring his family up to the Sky Park, it was killing two birds with one stone! :D

After his family left, and we went back to the room to laze a little while before heading up to the Sky Park for a swim at the infinity pool! (: The room’s rather spacious in my opinion, so I have no complains about it even though March said that the view of the room was quite terrible (since she was the one that helped me to book the room)!

The view at the Sky Park was magnificent! We swam to the edge of the pool and had a bird’s eye view of the entire Singapore City! :D He was telling me how we were looking at the same view from a different angle at Swissotel’s Equinox on my birthday 4 years ago, telling me about Hello Kitty (that’s the name that Jon gave to the Merlion at Fullerton because it looked really small from where we were).

Jon took a picture of this because he said this was supposed to be a proof of me busy messaging on his birthday. Well, I was busy messaging Amanda to plan for his birthday surprise!

After swimming for a while, I went to laze on the bed because 1) I was getting a little lazy and 2) I had to message Amanda to know how’s everything going in the room.

A very random note: TThe weather that day was quite sad! ): It was so cloudy I couldn’t witness a beautiful sunset with Jon. Everything was practically covered by the gloomy clouds. ):

To fill you in, there was actually 2 set of keys to the room and I only took one while Eugene (March’s boyfriend) took the other so that Amanda can grab it from him while we were swimming in the Sky Park. So while Jon & I were swimming (dragging time actually) at the Sky Park, Amanda and Edwin (Jon’s army buddy) – who were the main people that helped me to bring everyone together – were setting up the room for his surprise.

When Amanda told me that almost everything’s ready in the room, I told Jon that I actually made a “dinner reservation” for his birthday at some restaurant so we should get back to change. When we got back, everything in the room was left the way it was before we left. As he was taking the towel/clothes to bathe, I told him I had something for him and opened up the curtains to the balcony where all of his friends hid behind.

He was so shocked and surprised to see all of his friends, more surprised to see that I’ve included his brother and his army friends into this party. His face was so priceless, I wish I captured it on camera. But yes, that was the face that brought huge satisfaction to me. The very face that brought me pure happiness and bliss. (: So instead of having a dinner reservation at a restaurant, we actually ordered Macdonalds takeaway. I mean, it was more of the fun that we were getting from the night! Amanda said that giving the guys good food would be like throwing them into the bin because they just want to fill their stomach, hahaha!

This party leaves me feeling happier than the surprise party that Jon arranged for me on my 21st. Not that it wasn’t good, but I guess it leaves me feeling happier to see my love happy and pleasantly surprised. (:

Thursday was probably the day that I enjoyed work the most! Had a late lunch because Jon was coming over to find me. Brought him to 4 fingers (I’ve no idea how many times I ate this in a month already! D:) to let him try how good the chicken was! And it was a treat from my boy. :D

After lunch, we went to G2000 because Baby had to get himself a suit for the orientation in Los Angeles next month, and I’ve gotta admit he looked really dashing! :D We spent quite a while there, and I thank god for my manager who was being really understanding! She didn’t complain or wasn’t unhappy that I was taking too long (and partly because there was barely any crowd at the shop too). Jon got everything at a really good deal because of the promotion! A suit, two shirts and a tie for only $180! (:

(: Jon was supposed to be helping me out in the preparation of food but he was sleeping instead. /: Oh well, not really complaining though. The both of us have been rather deprived from sleep, so I guess it is only fair to let him have his rest.

We drove to Marina Barage for our picnic, and thank god it was neither raining nor too sunny! In fact, it was rather breezy, just the way I like it to be. (: I was so famished I couldn’t help but to take a few mouth of food from the lunchbox during the car ride! It was my first time there so Baby was the one bringing me around. I love exploring new places with this boy. (:

Had my fair share of fun at the party with fellow DOPT peeps, and it was nice sitting down sharing about different happenings in our lives. Baby had to leave halfway to pick his Dad off from work, and he made a detour to pick me up thereafter, so I could spend slightly more time with my friends. (:

Later that night, Jon’s friends came over to his place for a drinking session. Oh gosh it was so damn hilarious and funny I enjoyed myself so much! Played Circle of Death and Amanda has gotta be the slowest reaction of all most of the time, heehee! The drinks and the laughter was a really awesome way to end my night. Jon’s friends are just mad hilarious! I find it hard to hold back my laughter after hearing about their cock-up (the way that Baby describes it to be) secondary school stories and their funny actions/expressions! They had so much fun that they’re planning another night for this again. But I think I am going to miss the second round because of work though. ):

On Thursday, I forgotten that Optique Zone was having a company dinner so I wore my usuals to work – t-shirt, shorts and slippers! But the OZ ladies still insisted that I should come, so I did. So after work ended, Jon & his Dad came to pick me up from work and off we went to P.S. Cafe at Harding Road! (:

Seriously, people who work at Optique Zone will never be slim and slender. There’s just too many of such functions/events, it’s impossible to loose weight.

Before picking me up, Baby actually went to buy movie tickets for Eclipse to surprise-date me again! :D I mean, we already planned to watch the movie together but the act of him purchasing the tickets first really brought a smile to my face. (:

Anyway, on the actual day of my birthday – Wednesday – Jon and I had trouble deciding on whether we should have my birthday lunch at Forlino or Privé since I wanted to visit these places since a while ago! Anyway, we decided on Privé and I really love the view from the restaurant. Looking at the clear blue sky and the yatch being docked pier helped lightened my mood by a whole lot. Would love to revisit this place, but at Privé Cafe & Bakery instead! (:

The restaurant’s rather spacious I liked that. Gives us enough room for some quiet time. (: We had a 3 course meal and it was my treat! Afterall, I am the one’s that is working right now! Kinda felt the pinch for the costly meal though. ): Ever since Jon’s back, I’ve been spending a little more than usual. ): Spent an additional S$150 on getting accessories (faux leather notebook case & a screen protector) just a few days back! D:

So anyway, the food was pretty good and I certainly enjoyed the company of my boy. (: It has been so long, and definitely nice, to be pampering ourselves with good food just like the good old days. (:

Headed back to his place thereafter, and I miss J the cute little pup so much! He’s growing on me, a lot faster than I expected. :D Never knew that I could love a German Shepherd this much. (: It’s definitely nice to see that he’s slowly recognizing Jon as his family even though he still sticks to Jerwin most of the time. I love how he runs to us with his tail wagging so quickly when we opened the door, jumping onto our laps and licking us all over. He’s such a sweetie! <3 Sometimes I even miss him more than I miss Jon, really!

(: It was also my treat as well, and that really makes me feel that a lot of things changes when you are growing up (physically and financially). But oh well, it was really nice having some good family time together, with Jon together too. (: Can never ask for more when you’ve got good food and your loved ones with you. (:

Have been staying over at Jon’s place for the past few days, and I really thank my parents for their great understanding without even complaining about me disappearing from home during this period. But I really love J’s company even though he cause quite a lot of scratches and red marks all over me because of his claws and hyperactive self sometimes. But awwwww, he is just such a sweetheart! <3

My actual birthday was a simple affair, but I was contented. Can never ask for more. (:

Just a few days back, Jon popped by at my work place with a cup of bubble tea & famous amos cookies while bringing Raymond & co who was visiting in Singapore. Shortly after, I received an SMS from my sweetheart…

K: Woah why did you ask this? It sounds very freaky! (As in, it sounds as though he’s guilty of something and I still have to marry him anyway.)

Then he went on and on non-stop about this girl, tsk tsk! q: Decided that we should walk around a little to give our (or rather, my) bloated stomach a rest. There’s so much sales everywhere it’s madness. It’s always during the GSS period that I don’t shop. Oh the irony. /: Anyway, there was this really awesome blazer that caught my eye at Armani Exchange! If not for the fact that it cost SGD340, I’d have grabbed it. ):

Matt and I talked for the rest of the afternoon, and my butt hurt when we were about to leave. That’s how long we sat, talking about the most random things and the interesting happenings around us. q:

Oh gosh, I think I might want to just buy it from the website if it’s cheaper. Let me wait till Jon’s in the states and I’ll have them shipped to his place. Yay, because that means no international shipping! I can wait for awesome stuff anytime! q:

Wanted to visit Toast by Marmalade Pantry, but it was closed. So we just settled at Cedele to take a rest, and I got myself a Super “C” drink just because it’s healthy with vit C overload! q: Amanda thought it tasted bad because she hates fruits hahaha.

Walked over to 313 Somerset, then sat around at some corner and chat till it was almost 11pm. Oh god, this girl is just super hilarious that she makes my face stiffen from all the excessive laughing. Oh gosh, this girl is a treasure to me. Love her straightforwardness because it cracks me up totally – all the time!

I need to have more off days to meet up with all the people I love. Meanwhile, I’d be busy for the next two months, heehee! Saturday’s coming! It’s Friday tomorrow, and Saturday’s the day after! Heehee, looking forward to be in the warm embrace of my sweetheart. (:

On a side note, Sook Fung’s giving me a pair of NDP preview tickets for next Saturday! :D That means that my wish of reliving the past – watching NDP with Jon, just like when we were 11 years old – is gonna come true! Just when I was disappointed that the actual NDP tickets are all out, another door opens up! <3

Estella came to join us after that, and Stacey left us to meet her friend! Estella and I headed over The Chau’s place to play with J! :D Jerwin was really welcoming, and I was glad that Estella wasn’t awkward! (: J really sticks to Jerwin a whole lot, because Jerwin actually brought his mattress & pillow to sleep beside J’s cage for the first few days. Bet that made Jerwin his main master, and it’s a no wonder why he always follow him around the house. Estella and I had a bit of trouble getting J’s attention every now and then! But it was funny being ignore by J. q:

Estella and I made plans to go down for a swim, but because it rained so heavily earlier in the day, the weather became really cold. So all we did was to just soak in the pool and talked while playing with water. Heehee, it was fun! But babe, we need to meet for a proper swimming session soon! :D

I had so much fun that I forgot that I was supposed to be going for a movie with Jerwin and one of his classmate in the evening, so I was rushing through dinner and changing out! /:

Jerwin was trying to train J. He prepared his dinner, and is trying to discipline J, leaving his meal there for 2 minutes and asking him to stay (not to eat his food)! But J was such a good boy, he did that without much problems though there was a few times he wanted to just grab his meal heehee!

Caught The Karate Kid at The Grand Cathay, and it was awesome! :D Jaden Smith is so cute! Every time Jaden gets punch, I could totally ache for him! ): But it’s a really awesome movie to catch, so please do! :D

It’s such a long day I’m feeling so tired right now. Pretty certain that I’d knock out as soon as I lie on the bed, which is good. (: Now that my off day’s over, it’s time to recharge for work tomorrow. I hope this week (and the rest of the month) will get by smoothly for me!

Met up with Emily on Tuesday, and I felt really bad because I received the call from Jerwin about Porsch’s accident just 5 minutes before I could meet Emily. So when she saw me, I was already tearing like an idiot, and she had to give me loads of tissue paper and watch me tear over the phone. ): I even shortened our meet up duration because I wanted to rush over to The Chau’s residence to see if everything’s okay. Sorry babe! Let’s have a proper meet up really soon again, alright?! :D

We had dinner at Centrepoint’s Astons Specialities, and my rating for that restaurant would be below average! First, I expected it to taste as nice as the one that’s in Cathay, and secondly it is almost twice as costly too! >:( The food looks really simple, and less appetising as Cathay’s too. ): They do not even serve chicken, but I’ve gotta say that they have quite unique sides like potato skin with cheese (which is what I’ve gotten! That apart, I don’t think it’s somewhere I’d want to visit again. I wonder if it is the same for Emily too. /:

After dinner, we walked over to Wisma’s Isetan to grab some skincare products. Emily and I are absolute skincare junkies! D: I bought my Laneige moisturising cleansing oil because I needed it though!

Had Thai buffet for lunch with The Chaus at Tawandang today. I love the Thai food there, but have never been there for lunch before. I thought that the food served was not too bad, but Uncle said that the variety of food was quite little. Anyway, I had so many bowls of Tom Yum soup the lady asked “You really love Tom Yum Soup. I’ve seen you quite a few times already!” Okay, I took that as she was trying to tell me that I’m greedy in the most subtle way possible. ): She’s right though, I love Tom Yum Soup big time! (:

Felt so happy and bloated because I ate to my heart’s content! :D

After lunch, we all went to the pet farm located at Lorong Halus! It’s such a secluded area I doubt anyone would visit that area for no reason! The Chaus decided to get another dog to help the family move on from the demise of Porsch because the house’s so quiet without that little chap. ): However, this time round the family has decided to get a German Shepherd instead a toy dog! Initially I was quite freaked out by the idea of them having a big dog in their residence but when I saw the young pups I was quite bought over by them! Their fur is so nice to touch and play with. Not forgetting that they’re smart dogs. (: The Chau brothers are really lucky to have spontaneous parents who are willing to let them get another dog this soon, especially when this dog really cost them a bomb!

We spent almost 4-5 hours at the pet farm, getting the necessary stuff for the new pup! :O When the pup got onto the car, it made quite a bit of whiny sound probably because he was afraid. But he got quite comfortable after a while. (: It seemed like he didn’t have a problem with adapting to his new crib too! Let’s just hope that this time the pup would not have the same fate as poor Porsch. ):

The entire process of choosing a name for the new pup was hilarious! We went from Zeus (because Jerwin love the idea of having a mighty and powerful name for his police dog, and Zeus was the name of  a Lightning God), to Zoff, then to Joff. In the end, we decided that it was best to call the new pup J. Spelling? J. Isn’t that just… cool? J Chau (sounds like Jay Chou in a way or another)!

Let’s just hope that it will not treat Jon like a stranger when he’s back! I was telling Jon’s family how sad it is to have another member of the family that would probably be taller than Jon because a German Shepherd can be really huge! Then Jon’s parents just laughed, hahaha! Seems like there’s no barrier for me to “make fun” of their son in front of them any more! (Y)

Met up with Amanda last friday for dinner. No picture of us because she feels ugly that day. ): But oh well, I had a really good time with the girl, catching up with her at a new dining place at 313 Somerset. Ordered creamy pasta for myself despite knowing that I’ll get really sick of my main course after a while, which I eventually did. Too creamy for me to take it all. But that aside, it taste really good! Walked over to ION to grab a cup of Happy Lemon because the girl wanted one, and then we walked around a little before sitting at Starbucks (and got ourselves plain water hahaha) to catch up a little. (:

Short dates like these are good enough to make me happy. (:

Met up with Jinglan and Kelvin today for tea buffet at Heartland Mall’s Sakae Sushi. Had a hell lot of sushi even though they were just mediocre, and it left me I felt bloated enough to just have this meal for the entire day. I suppose that’s quite good for me. /: Caught up with them a little, then we visited Junwen & Peiyu who was working just upstairs.

Trained down to Bishan to just linger around, so we went to the arcade and played like little kids! It has been a long time since I last felt like this. I was a loser when it comes to the game when we were playing the basketball game! I scored so badly in the first round I was denied to proceed on to the second, while both of them did. ): And that also explains why I managed to take a picture of them. ):

Anyway, I brought a jacket out just in case I felt cold. But I realised that there really wasn’t any need for it because the weather’s just crazy! Regretted wearing a pair of jeans out instead of shorts. /: If there’s ever a chance of me migrating, the weather has got to be the reason! >:(

Went to grab my cup of KOI bubble tea because I wanted one! It has gotta be the best bubble tea in town, seriously! But…. it’s really not cheap. Pay about a dollar more for a large cup, and you can actually get yourself a tall Starbucks drink. But I was contented! :D

And yes, I’m still feeling very fat from the excessive amount of food I’m eating lately (as mentioned in the previous entry). I’m going to eat sliced fish noodles, yong tao fu or any soup-based food for lunch and dinner from today on. Really need to control my diet. If there’s ever a war to fight, I’m sure I’ll be the first to die. ):

After three arduous years in Singapore Polytechnic. (:

Yesterday was a rather big day for most of the people from my batch because it was our graduation day. But surprisingly, I didn’t feel excited or looked forward to the particular event. It just felt as though it was just another off day.

It was a pouring heavily when we were making our way to school, and the hall was crowded with people the moment I stepped into the hall. (Oh yes, I was slightly late! q:) Was a lost sheep in the hall trying to look for my seat (I just typed shit instead of seat and I laughed at myself. I’m a joke. -.-”) and was glad to find myself sitting beside John! :D He was quite a great company because the both of us keep making weird and funny comments! I never knew that people had @ in their names, and it’s read as alias or something along that line. I was saying that next time I shall put my name is kellynting@gmail.com instead of Ting Wei Min. Okay I was just being annoying, but I thought it was quite funny! /:

Anyway, despite being on stage plenty of times for band performances, I still find myself having stage phobia every single time. I was telling how nervous I was to John I made him nervous too. It was just getting the scroll and that was probably the longest 1 minute of my life. I didn’t even dare to look at my face which was screened on the huge projector like how most people did, and neither did I looked at the audience. I just walked straight all the way, as soon as I can and left the stage.

After the graduation ceremony, it was photo taking time! :D I invited Jon’s parents over for the tea reception since I only have two tickets for my parents. I didn’t have a lot of pictures taken because I think I looked like crap and I was busy running here and there looking for people! /:

I never knew that inviting Jon’s parents would actually make me feel a little embarrassed. Apparently he has quite a wide connection with people in the industry, and that also means that he knows the lecturers. And even though I bet some of the lecturers already knew that I’m “Richard Chau’s son’s girlfriend” (I bet lecturers are as busybody as anyone of the students), it felt really weird when Uncle was saying he’s here to attend his son’s girlfriend’s graduation. Really didn’t know how to react at all. And then having Essilor’s GM & manager coming up to me to congratulate me felt totally weird too, because I only see them when I was still working in OZ.

I guess working as a part-timer since I was year one actually helped me to widen my network in the trade too.

On a side note, Ayuni baked brownies! :D I love her brownies because it taste really good! :D I really should visit her one day and learn all her baking skills. She should really just open her own bakery! :D

Had a late dinner with the Optique Zone Crew at Dempsey Hill’s Tawandang! It was my second visit here (third visit to Tawandang if you include the one we visited in Bangkok earlier in March), and I had a feast! Totally loved the mango salad because it’s sour, and the morning glory’s just super crunchy and yummy! <3 Got myself a Cranberry Juice because I felt like drinking something slightly healthier. q: A few of the higher up staff from Essilor came and join us, and while Uncle was having his business talks with them, I was busy catching up Aunty and the rest of my ex-colleagues. Then Dennis from Essilor started talking to me about the company site that I started up! He complimented that I would make a good marketing person, heee! :D

Speaking of which, I need to start doing some site maintenance! It’s not easy to keep a company site going, unlike a blog. /: I have a feeling that 2 off days may not be even for me! ):

Got myself a new pair of Ralph spectacles, and Uncle gave it to me when I insisted on paying. ):
I love my new spectacles, though I only wear it when I used the computer! :D

After all the years of tears and sweat they’ve put in, every mother deserves to be pampered like a Queen! <3

It took me a long time to plan for this very day. I planned to take both my Mom & Jon’s Mom out for a good relaxation day in-lieu of Mother’s Day, and I had to call up everywhere and arrange a booking for two at the same timing! It was such a difficult task since it was Mother’s Day. Finally managed to get a booking for the two Mothers for a massage, but Jon’s Mom called me earlier today and told me she couldn’t join us because she was feeling sick. ): Was feeling quite sad that she couldn’t join us considering the fact that I’ve put in so much effort into planning. Then when I told my Mom that Aunty wasn’t joining us anymore, she said that she didn’t want to go for the massage and said that she can go for one another time. -.-” So nothing I have planned or arranged took place. /:

Was feeling a little vain today so I dressed up! So vain that I’ve decided to wear my highest killer heels out to streets and kill my legs today. Truth to be told, I was felt that it is totally a waste of my money if I spent $50 on this pair of heels and have only worn them out once. Was just trying to make my money worthwhile. q:

Brought my Mom to Ding Tai Fung for lunch, and I believe that she enjoyed her meal! :D Talked about work and random things over lunch, and I really love having one-to-one sessions with my Mom. It’s always my Mom giving me a treat, but now that I’ve started working, it’s time to pamper her! (: I spent a lot lesser than I was expected on this meal, but a lot more throughout the entire day. ):

I wonder if you noticed, but there’s hardly any meat in the dishes I’ve ordered. I think I’m turning into a vegetarian really soon.

Think I look really fat and chubby here. ): My hairdo looks like one that’s of a lion’s. ):

It was shopping thereafter, and I brought my Mom to the Laneige Counter at Wisma’s Isetan! Wanted to show her all the skincare products since I’ve been thinking of changing mine for quite a while already, and yes I bought them in the end. The salesgirl’s also my customer, and she is really friendly and patient explaining to the both of us the individual functions of each product! :D She even threw in a hell lot of samples for both my Mom and I! Bought one of the essence for my Mom as a Mother’s Day gift because I could tell she wanted one.

Total damage just at Laneige’s counter: $254. But I hope this is a worthy investment! Every month, most of my expenditure goes to skincare products and food. This is really bad. But I guess one reason why I decided to buy them is because I love the salesgirl, she’s way too nice and patient. Gonna throw in free contact lenses/solutions for her the next time she buys her lenses, heehee.

Shopped around for a little more, but no more spending! Really wanted to get Ettusais’ lip essence since my lip’s always really dry, but I guess I’ll save that for the next month or something. I really need to have better control my own finances.

Dinner with my family (except for my second brother who was working) and Granny! :D Had sliced fish noodles at Amoy Food Centre, our usual sliced fish noodles hangout, but it was quite a disappointment because their standards have dropped quite a fair bit. ): But oh well, I enjoyed the company. Dinner was on me too! :D One really good thing about working is that you are financially independent from your parents, and you can pamper them in return too! :D

(Okay, but I am seriously broke after today. So no more luxury spending on food or any other items any more!)

It’s a really simple day, but something that makes me feel really happy and satisfied with. Probably one of my most satisfying off days till date. (: I need to spend more quality time like these with the people I really love.

One really sad thing for the night, I think I have gained like 123912390128301283kg! My face is just so fat. ): Okay, I am fat. Need to eat air for the next few months until I become ideal looking!

And because I’m so happy with my shopping loots for today (even though it caused some heartache), I’ve got to share them! :D

The one on the extreme left is for my Mom, and the rest’s mine! q: Sunblock, toner, essence, and moisturizer are my essentials for my basic daily beauty regime. My face will thank me for my discipline in the future, I hope.

And these are all the FREE gifts I got from my purchase! :D Apart from the samples (packed in small paper packs) that were thrown in by the lovely salesgirl , the rest are free gifts from the Mother’s Day promotion! The amount of free gifts I got are a lot more than what I bought! :D

On top of these, I actually have got a free small trolley luggage (good for travelling) because I spent more than $200! Is this great or great?! HEEEHEEE!

Finally got to dress myself up after so long! Working deprives me from pampering myself. ): Anyway, I met up with Amanda yesterday evening and we had dinner at Wild Honey. Love hanging out with this girl because she brings me to awesome dining places that I probably would never know. I really love the setting of the restaurant, it makes me feel so comfortable and cosy. I like.

Amanda ordered European for herself, while I got myself English. Oh gosh, my share of food taste so awesome I really love it! :D The tomatoes were just beyond heaven I promise! I think it’s probably baked and it looked quite dry on the surface, but the moment I bite on it, the juice just flowed out! Though I eat tomatoes, I’ll only eat them with sandwiches or in soup but never alone. The tomatoes, they just taste so good on their now – so heavenly! I was also told that they baked the bread themselves. Many thumbs up for the food at Wild Honey, and I’ll definitely bring Baby there when he’s back! (Y)

The both of us spent a long time at Wild Honey after our meal, drinking water and catching up with each other. Updated Amanda about the recent happenings about Jon & I since she’s one really close mutual friend of ours who always try to mediate things whenever something goes wrong. I really appreciate her presence, and I sincerely love this girl to death for the very fact that she’s very straightforward and I really feel that everything about this friendship is just true with no hidden agenda.

As I was telling Amanda about this long-distance relationship that Jon & I are going through together, I teared. And that was something I really didn’t expect, especially when I probably already found it tiring and lazy to repeat the same story over again to a different person, and when the issue has already been solved. But it was when I was telling her about the plans, thoughts and surprises (that aren’t surprises any more) that Jon had in his mind about our wedding in particular made me cry. I thought I cried because I felt that I wasn’t good enough for this guy who loved me with all his heart and accepted all my flaws, but she said that I was just too happy. Perhaps she was right, and perhaps I just haven’t found someone for me to share my happiness with.

I am so glad to have Amanda, really.

Left Wild Honey to roam around Mandarin Gallery for a little while, and the moment we exit from the lift we were welcomed by very handsome Caucasian guys! :O Apparently they were models and there was this fashion event, and if not for the fact that we would have walked into their catwalk route, we’ve continued walking around Mandarin Gallery instead of getting out of the place via the nearest exit which leads us to Cineleisure. /:

Ohhh… and there’s this bird shit incident that happened which is damn gross yet hilarious at the same time hahahaha! The thought of it just makes me want to laugh. We walked around aimlessly and then finally decided to settle at Hong Kong Cafe. I thought we would just sit there for a short while and catch up a little more before we go separate ways, but we ended up sitting there talking about everything under the sun. The kind of things we can talk about, it’s makes me smile. (:

Met up with Jerwin at Jurong Point and gave him a treat at Pepper Lunch since he never tried it before. I was supposed to meet him at 1pm, but I ended up leaving the house when it’s almost 1pm. No prizes for guessing how late I was. Anyway, I still had to wait for him for quite a while after I reached Jurong Point because he was in the midst of DOTA. Look at how the game ruin The Chau Brothers, tsk tsk!

I know it’s quite dirty to have a dog licking you all over your face (and may even cause pimples), but I can’t resist this boy! :D

My very first time bringing Porch down for a walk around the neighbourhood! The boy has been very curious sniffing and stopping every now and then. It was quite funny how he got a little scared and started making whiny noises after hearing some loud barking by another dog from afar.

Porch was a little too scared to climb the stairs, so he just got stucked. When we helped him to the first step, hoping that he’d continue climbing further, he just stood still. He was too scared to come down I had to carry him!

Porch baby was so tired after the walk he dashed to the corner of the house and laid down immediately. He literally ran to the corner, so cute!

On a side note, I really want to get my LX-3 when my first pay comes in, but Baby refuses to let me buy it until he comes back. My heart is itching already! ): Can July just come now so that I can get my camera?! I think Baby’s sad that I want the camera more than looking forward to his arrival, heehee!
