Pride

Xing Ying stayed over at The Chau’s on Sunday night because she wanted to visit her Grands + attempt to make friends with J, which she did! J was being so protective (and loud with his barks) when she first entered the house, but after a while of trying to mingle together he was being his usual self as a sweetheart. To me at least. He was such a little baby. ♥ Later that night, Jerwin, Xing Ying and I went down to walk J followed by playing together with him at the car park before heading back home. I think Xing Ying and I exhausted too much energy that night playing we got so hungry in the night we raided the kitchen to fill our growling tummies, and got caught by Jon’s mom! :p

Got woken up by J the pup the next morning, with him squeezing between Xing Ying and I on the bed asking for a morning tummy rub from me. How sweet can he be? I don’t think I might be able to love another dog as much as I love J, really. Everything behind the dark coat of fur is cuteness and sweetness overload. I think it says a lot when I actually get myself down to cleaning his pee with my bare hands when I used to find it… disgusting. Don’t think I can love him any less.

On a side note, I am looking forward to November very much. The boyfriend’s returning. ♥

Never knew that mobile photography can capture so many beautiful recollections of things I didn’t even remember that happened through the week. ✕

My very first attempt at making/taking a video with my 60D, and I was experimenting with the focusing and all so please pardon me for the occasional blurred out moments. I know I may seem a little crazy, but J is really one thing in my world that I can’t stop taking pictures of. He’s such a sweetheart in every possible way behind his dark black coat of fur which depicts him as fierce (along with the fact that he’s a German Shepherd). But if everyone, or anyone, who is just willing to take some time and get to know this little fella, you’ll really understand why I am this in love with him: The fact that he never fails to whine for a good whole five minutes every time I visit, followed by him bringing a toy to me shortly after; snuggling his head into my arms while I sayang and stroke his soft and smooth black coat; the occasional times when he’d climb up on the bed and stand beside me while I am sleeping in the morning; the times when he’d sit beside me and we’ll share our bowl of fruits together. Such a sweetie.

Just the mere thought of this adorable little giant puppy is good enough to leave a wide smile on my face. ☺

Weekends start only on Sundays for me, so Mondays are your sundays equivalent. Waking up to J’s baby eyes and adorable character of a kid can really be such a blessing. With him coming beside you whining like a baby, then snuggling his head into your arms, followed by him bringing a toy over and asking you to play with him. His innocent is so priceless, and it’s something that no one will probably ever understand with his ferocious looking black coat through the pictures. Home-made dumplings by auntie for breakfast, then it was beauty Monday for me going for IPL and facial sessions.

And while I had some time to spare (since I was early for my appointments) and a camera in my hand, I took on the routes that I never usually take and started snapping away through the alleys. And that’s also when I discovered this cute looking cafe called Talent Cafe by the corner of the beauty salon I frequent.

When you’ve started working, you’ll start to realize the beauty of having lazy days and quality me-time. I am quite glad I had almost the entire weekend to myself. ☺

Monday The new toy at The Chau’s – Nespresso. Jon’s dad was damn excited to show me how this machine works and he made two cup of coffee for us. At 11pm in the night. The next morning, I made a cup of Rosabaya de Colombia espresso for myself.

Tuesday I stayed over at the boyfriend’s place on Monday night, and had plans to hit the gym the next morning. But plans changed and I postponed it to the day after because I wanted to learn how to cook amazing pisang goreng! Apparently this is exactly the kind of banana fritters I have tried to search high and low for, and would easily be sold at $2/piece. Not kidding at all. Soft and sweet on the inside, hot and crispy on the outside. Need to do this more and learn this from step a to z. Must master this.

Wednesday Woke up early and hit the gym to work out for the first time in a really long time.

Sunday Stayed over at the boyfriend’s place again on Saturday night, so make that three days in this week. We woke up and brought J to the dog park for some fun time. Running around the park with this little pup was good enough to exhaust me. And I really can’t get take enough pictures of this cute little fella who never fails to smitten my heart even when he is really mischievous. Being so curious in the car as always, standing and shifting around (partly because he is getting bigger and it gets really uncomfortable for him to lay still), then deciding to rest his head on my lap to take a nap. When we got back home, Jerwin told him that he was going to bring him for a shower, and he just went to lay on the floor in toilet waiting for his brother to clean him up. He was so tired from the day of fun he was falling asleep while showering, and resting his head on Jerwin’s arms. Awwww, what a cutie. ☺

Sunday Met up with Amanda and Darren for dinner and movie on a late sunday night. Quick catching up session at Astons and rushed to the cinema to catch Crazy, Stupid, Love which was hilarious. Chick flicks always make me tear somehow, for what reason I am not too sure myself either. Supper at Rochor Tau Huay thereafter. But after trying out the Old Airport Road’s, this pales in comparison.

I’ve concluded that really need to have a camera with me 24/7 because I literally just shoot the most random stuff and find joy in it. With that, I am starting to really want an iPhone. :/

At Port Dickson

Went on a 2D3N trip to Seremban to visit his maternal grandfather with the boyfriend and his parents, and it was my first time. The boyfriend took the wheel for the entire trip while his dad took the backseat, and I salute the boy for having to keep himself awake through the 4-hour-long drive while all other passengers took their rest. We stayed at Jon’s Grandpa’s humble abode during our stay, and it was nice experiencing the life of the locals like having breakfast at their local markets (something which I’ve never done before in Malaysia), which apparently serves very awesome food despite looking rather dilapidated from the exterior.

And on the last day of the trip, we took a short drive and went to Port Dickson. Beautiful afternoon enjoying the sea breeze, taking some pictures, and walking through the beach. I think the boyfriend and I probably gained loads of holiday weight (and I can feel it with the fats that are – visibly obvious, too – residing on my face and arms) from the excessive eating.

Looking forward to the next short trip with my love in a three weeks time. ✌

Stayed over at the boyfriend’s place on Saturday night because we were bringing J for a swim earlier in the morning on Sunday. My first time bringing the pup for a swim, and he certainly looks really cute and excited swimming around in the dog’s pool together with the other puppies/dogs. Spent the entire morning at Clubs 4 Paws and that was good enough to leave the boy and I exhausted. So exhausted that we slept through the entire afternoon instantly after we had lunch.

On a side note, I couldn’t help but to burst the bubble about me buying an air ticket to Melbourne to surprise the boy for his birthday. I wanted to just appear in front of his door step on his birthday, and give him a big pleasant surprise. But I fear that I might actually disrupt the boy’s plans while he is schooling since it was going to be 10 days long. He said tears welled up in his eyes when I showed him the email about the booking confirmation. ☺ Now I am looking forward to crashing the boy’s lecture, experiencing his school life in Melbourne with him, and we are probably going to travel somewhere and explore something new together.

I’ve been taking the most random things for the past two days, trying out my new toy and trying to explore/experiment with it. Not a fantastic photographer with creative framing skills, but I am definitely loving how high quality the pictures turn out. Loads of picture of the babypup because he is so irresistibly cute, and taking pictures of an animal is definitely not easy. So yay, because I’ve managed to capture some really good (and cute) pictures of J! So many pictures of him that brings out the naive and playful self in him.

This weekend. The boyfriend has planned to bring me around to play with my camera, and I really appreciate this sweet little act of his because he is not a photography person yet he has got this arranged. (: Meanwhile, I welcome all comments/advices on how I can improve my pictures. ☺

And on a side note, Jon and I have applied for our house under HDB and we hope that we will get it through our first balloting (even though the chances are really low)! It’s a start to something new for our future. ☺

He is definitely one of the one that makes me feel the most welcomed whenever I arrive at The Chau’s. Not that the rest of them aren’t, it’s just that this little monster pup always runs excitedly towards me with his tail wagging non-stop every time he sees me. He’d even stand up and put his hands on my shoulders (that’s how tall he is) because he is so happy. If not for his big physique and weight (he’s about 35kg now), I’d never push him away.

He is such a cutie I can’t even resist any thing about him. To think that I was rather against in them getting a German Shepherd initially, now I am the one who loves this boy to hell. I’d brush his hair every other time when I visit them, and he would just sit down quietly beside me, and even rest his head on my thighs when I work my stuff. While he lies on the floor, I’d lie on his tummy and rest together with him. He’d open Jon’s room door every morning when I stay over, give me a morning kiss and continue with his usual routine until I wake up to play with him. We’ll get quite wild when we play together (as Jon’s dad would say), running around chasing after toys and playing hide-and-seek together. There’s no one the house would play together with him like we do. When we bring him out, we walk him with pride because he is so handsome and charming, and he even looks more well groomed than most dogs we’ve seen. His physique is almost perfect (in my opinion).

And as I am writing this whole chunk about how much I love him, he is resting beneath the table where I am using the computer taking his short rest. Perfect companion.

So tell me, what is there to resist about this sweetheart? Sometimes he is even more irresistible than the boyfriend. (Opps!)

Have been so busy at work with me helping Jon’s Dad to supervise the staff at work to kick start a whole new system while the shop is undergoing renovation. Been so tired with work it leaves me knocking off almost instantly as soon as I lay on the bed. This day off from work spells a long weekend for me, and it may just be the last as long as I am in the retail line I guess. Definitely it is taxing on whatever that we need to do right for a kick start, but it is definitely a good start.

Good Friday’s lunch was spent with Jon and his folks, followed by meeting up with Stacey thereafter for a haircut in the evening – and yes, I’ve got a new hair style right now and I am loving it. It’s time for a change after having long hair for the past few years. It’s so funny how the hairdresser asked if I was sure to cut my tresses because I look good in them (or so he said). My hair definitely looks good on Day One, but the lazy me is surely going to have problem keeping it in shape since I don’t really blow my hair. /:

Jon came over to pick Stacey and I up, and we headed over to Geylang for dim sum together with Jeremy as well. I love having all the people that matters to me coming together. ♥ And after sending Stacey back home from our late dinner, we joined Jeremy’s friend for pool. The boyfriend’s left me quite impressed since I’ve never seen him playing pool before. (Well, I don’t even know how to play for a start so…)

Such a pleasant Good Friday. A good Friday indeed.

It’s a vicious cycle – we fight, we patch, and it all happens again. Despite it all, we still want each other badly. Love makes us whole.

Spent the Sunday at The Chau’s, and it saw Jon and I sleeping in after such a long time. Le boyfriend cajoled me to gym with him, and it was a really short session because I was feeling so lazy like a jelly. His grandma made awesome home-cooked mee siam for lunch, and then we lazed the early afternoon away before we had to help his Dad to run some simple errands. While waiting for J to finish his hour and a half training, Jon and I went shopping and that’s when I gave in to buy this Aldo electric blue pumps. The most expensive shoe I have ever gotten for myself, but the boyfriend approves of it because it looks beautiful. ♣ Dress ☑ Shoes ☑ Surprise dinner reservation by the boyfriend ☑ I am almost ready for our anniversary dinner this coming thursday! Now I need to dig out a bag that will compliment my outfit.

On a side note, Zara has an awesome collection of clothes for Spring 2011 and I am loving them all. Love all the vibrant colour schemes and I’d really want to get them in my wardrobe but no because the price is so costly. ): But the boyfriend would rather have me to buy clothes than getting a DSLR. /: I’d rather save up for a DSLR than a designer bag for some reason.

Quick dinner at Burger Shack to end off our day, and the boy sent me back home after that.

Even though there may not be much plans coming up this week, somehow it seems like it is going to be an exciting one ahead. Looking forward to spending good quality time! :D

Had lunch at his place, and I was so sleepy I went to take a nap thereafter. The boy thought that I was bathing because we were supposed to go on a date together, and when he saw me sleeping he jumped on me and scared the wits outta me! I literally jumped out of bed and scolded him! D: But it was funny anyway, hahaha.

Went over to Prinsep street thereafter and we visited Strictly Pancakes! Have been hearing quite a fair bit about this place, and wanted to give it a try because it sounded really enticing, but only to be disappointed.

The pancakes were mediocre, and Jon commented that there wasn’t any taste to them at all, which I agreed. MacDonald’s hotcakes taste better, and there’s 0% exaggeration in this statement. Ambience was cosy, but the staff made the whole place really noisy by talking across the cafe. The boss really need to do something about his staff soon. I tweeted about it, and apparently there were quite a handful of people that replied saying that both the food & service was terrible.

Verdict: I am never going back there again.

On a side note, I am going to ban myself officially from buying anymore skincare products! I spent a bomb this month on it, because I’ve decided to get myself another set of Laneige products in its full range since I’ve been staying at Jon’s place very often and decided that it will be just another investment for a long period of time.

In addition, a few days back my new batch of MBD masks have arrived. Just in time to replenish my depleting supply!
