Concoction of the sweetest bread ever:
Ample Excessive amount of sugar, condensed milk, and sugar.
Apparently I was told that Kay Minn requested to try out how the wasabi chips tasted like.
Hectic scene in the kitchen that morning.
Sleepy J woke up early and joined Jon & his brothers + groomsmen in the morning prep.
My silly bridesmaids did a voice recording, saying “Be very afraid!”, and sent it to Jon before he arrived at my place.
Definitely the most important people in my life despite all the up and downs.
These girls. :’)
The group of people that helped materialize our wedding. ♡
The crowd over at The Chau’s that morning
J was being such a cutie pie that morning! When it was time to get a family portrait taken, he made his way (on his own) to that very spot and get seated as though he knew what was going on and wanted to be a part of it! Awww this baby of my heart!
A simple bowl of vermicelli prepared by Mom before we returned, and it was so flavourful!
8th December 2014, Monday – Gate-crashing & Tea Ceremony
I really wanted to keep my wedding entries simple and short, but our photographers captured so many precious photos that it was so tough for me to select! They shared that this was the first time they gave this many photos to their newly-wedded couples, so I guess it just makes more sense that I do some justice to their work and of course I have all the reasons to because… It’s our big day!
Even though in our minds we valued whatever went on the 7th more, the 8th was a complete blast and we had so much fun and shed so much more tears than we had expected!
My amazing photographer, videographers & make up artist came at about 4.30am and we got started on the make up right away. Some of my bridesmaids stayed over at my place, and they prepped themselves up and got started on working on the gate-crashing games for Jon & the groomsmen later that morning. It was a real early morning for every one. What I really loved about both the photographer & videographer teams were that (coincidentally) they work in pairs so they both managed to capture the morning preparations at both Jon & my place! Their works are so, so precious and it made us relive this very beautiful & special day for the both of us. I don’t think that there’s any better way to relive these moments except through their work because both of us were basically too busy the entire time.
When Jon & the groomsmen arrived, they honked their cars so loudly and it was hilarious! The girls dealt with the guys during the gate-crashing games, and Kay Minn who wasn’t a part of the bridesmaids/groomsmen team FaceTimed me kept me entertained with all the fun that was going on outside with everyone. The gate crashing games was nothing humiliating nor having the guys shove disgusting food down their throat, so I think the both Jon & the groomsmen had an easy way out – or maybe they even left with a full stomach!
We grabbed a few shots with our bridesmaids & groomsmen before driving over to Jon’s for the traditional tea ceremony, and it was back to my place before we call and end the morning. Unlike my place, Jon’s house was filled with relatives and it was quite a party over there! We did the usual traditions – having a share glutinous ball on the bridal bed – took some time to finish the entire tea ceremony, and I changed out and made our way back to my parent’s place to continue on with the tea ceremony which was a much simpler affair with only my immediate family members.
Words may have failed me to describe the details of that morning, but I think the pictures showed everything that I have remembered it to be (if not, more) and it was definitely a long and lovely morning for us. x
