A belated birthday celebration with Amanda with Jon at Chikuwa-Tei, the hidden gem with awesome Japanese food at an affordable price. The place was a little packed when we went over hence we had to take the seatings at the sushi bar which made talking a little difficult between three, but thankfully the crowd started to go away. But I love how simple the place is, and non-pretentious. I think we over-estimated ourselves and we stuffed ourselves silly it felt almost impossible for us to even walk.
Headed over to d’Good cafe where we sat our the swinging chairs that was facing the streets and caught up over coffee, cakes and waffles through the night. We haven’t met up like that for so long we had a long string of events to update each other with. It’s absolutely Amazing how our conversations evolved over the years, and we are touching on topics like weddings/engagements, property and investments. We’re all ageing together – gracefully.
Some relationships with people make you feel exhausted and drives you to the brink of giving up (and of course the weaker bonds do break, eventually), while the others make it seem as though nothing has happened despite all the unhappiness that happened earlier.
Thank you. For everything. And happy (belated) birthday, precious one. ♡
