The making of tomato soup
Rosemary black pepper chicken with mushroom gravy
Lightly fried potato cubes with corn bits, chili flakes and coriander leaves
Rocket salad with almonds and balsamic vinegar
Jon and I decided that we should cook for our Christmas Eve instead of eating out, and it’s indeed a blessing to be able to whip up a meal with the man of your life – who happens to enjoy eating and cooking as much as I do. If not, more. The boyfriend happily brought out the convection oven, which also happens to be the proudest buy of his stay in Melbourne, for our roast chicken. It was hilarious as he was massaging the chicken with the rosemary leaves, there sits J staring and waiting as though it was for his dinner. Aww that little sweetie always tugs my heartstrings. ♥ Jon and I shared the load of cooking the entire meal that night, and it was so good. I really felt the huge sense of satisfaction when we were done with our culinary adventure in the kitchen together, and it was even better when our dinner tasted so good!
Later that night, we sipped on Glacier Wine, tugged ourselves under the sheets and watched tv in bed. The best Christmas is one that is being spent in the comfort of your cosy abode with the loved ones. I’m definitely looking forward to the arrival of my house so the both of us could cook a feast for our family and friends on occassions like these.
We could go on like this forever, and I’ll never get tired of it.
