On the 9th August, we made a dinner reservation at Vue de Monde as a belated birthday celebration for Jon’s 22nd birthday. I’ve heard about this amazing restaurant from Amanda about 2 years ago, and have read awesome reviews about this place ever since. It was almost like a dream come true dining experience. Owned by Shannon Bennett, a young and renown chef who was absolutely amiable and friendly, he created a ten-course meal for us without giving us the choice of choosing what we’d like to have. That, in a good way, brought us surprises with every dish that was served; and it was like a meal that’s made with both food and science altogether.

The cucumber sorbet with frozen herbs was absolutely refreshing to clear our palates so we can further enjoy the dishes that were coming up, trying out kangaroo meat for the first time, and trying out mind-blowing refreshers and desserts – there’s really nothing much I can speak of this restaurant other than having you to try this out on your own.

A very expensive meal, but a very worthy one. Now I can eat on instant noodles for the next few months.

    • Yes it is awesome. You should really gather your friends or someone special to go with you. The food is mind-blowing. Melbourne has been really great even though there isn’t exactly anything exciting. But I enjoyed my stay. ☺
